DOGGY DAYCARE
Here at Slaney, our doggy daycare service is extremely popular , particularly during the week. It is a service we provide for dog owners that want the peace of mind that their dog is safe, active and well looked after when they can’t be at home.
Day care offers the ideal opportunity for your dog to enjoy off lead exercise all day, with the chance to socialise with other dogs and our friendly team of staff.
We assess each dogs’ character and temperament and ensure they are grouped with suitable playmates throughout the day, within our fully enclosed paddocks.
We highly recommend all dogs are neutered to enable us to socialise them with as many other dogs as possible.
We aim to be outdoors, encouraging activity as much as possible but should the weather inhibit this, we have warm, dry kennels available for shelter.
Our doggy play area is a big hit with all our boarders, big and small. Tunnels, bridges and climbing platforms provide an excellent base for fun and games!

“Joules joined our family in February 2020 as a 12 week old Cockapoo puppy. We had researched daycare for her to help with socialisation early in her life.
Joules had a free trial day at Slaney Lodge and seemed very happy at the end of it. We received videos of her playing and made a midday phone call to speak to staff about how she was doing.

The traffic light system so they get plenty of exercise and play with like temperament dogs in grass fields is superb! Joules was even able to go every week through lockdown, which was very important for us as my husband is a key worker and I was in post operative recovery. It was also essential that we could maintain a routine for Joules and continue her socialisation.

“We have been using Slaney Lodge for daycare plus holiday boarding for our huskies for several years. We currently have 8 in our pack but we regularly foster dogs for a husky rescue so can have up to 12 at a time. All of our dogs love going to Slaney, they have lots of off lead runs in their very secure paddocks and lovely cosy kennels for rest and sleep time.
Everyone who works there really cares about the dogs and nothing is too much trouble, we call them the dog whisperers as they put fosters, some of whom have been through some tough times, at their ease in a single visit. During the pandemic they have been fantastic meeting our changing needs. We are very particular when it comes to looking after our dogs as they are “our babies” but we have never had any hesitation leaving them at Slaney, in fact I think they have a better time there than they do at home.”
